Leave Galway City on the N59 - follow signs for Moycullen, Oughterard and/or Clifden. As you leave the city limits you will pass the Glenlo Abbey Hotel on your right. Two miles after the hotel, there is a road on the left signposted to Barna (Bearna in Irish). There's a stone on the wall at the turning with the name ‘Tuairini’ written on it. Do not take this turning, as ‘Kirkullen Lodge’ is the second entrance on the left on the main road, only 20 yards after this junction. The house is white and blue and has a large staircase leading up to the front door. There is a high stone wall in front of it. Plenty of parking is available.
If you are coming from Barna take the road past the golf course and continue going straight to the very end of the road. Turn left onto the N59 (signposted 'Moycullen'). Kirkullen Lodge is the second entrance on the left (turn in behind the high stone wall). Note: If you get to Moycullen, you have gone too far! (By two miles).
We are two miles from Moycullen in the direction of Galway. As you see a sign for Barna (Bearna) on the right, prepare to turn into the centre, which is on the right, two houses before the Barna turning, behind a high wall with 'Kirkullen Lodge' written into the stone.
